Practical English for practical living. We can refill, dust off and exercise all needed vocabulary together for a conversation anywhere and anytime.
My name is Romana Búzková, I am 27 years old. After having finished the T. Baťa´s Business Academy in Zlín, I set off to England for one year to improve my English. But as life goes, the fate shook a bit with my life and I stayed for eight years. During my stay I really managed to refine my English and I passed my FCE and CAE exams. I took on several occupations, including working in a café, a hotel reception, or a marketing company and also my own business, only to eventually find out that I want to fully focus on teaching English. I got inspired by an amazing experience when I volunteered to teach a group of foreign ladies every week. They could not speak English and I did not speak Nepali language. In many cases, the lessons were quite funny, how we had to communicate with arms and legs, use dictionaries, but we managed it in the end. Their honest excitement and how they highly valued my work only fortified my notion, that this is not a job, but mission.
I enjoy coming up with different ways how to variegate my lessons for students very much, because I myself remember the ever so boring English lessons very vividly when vocabulary was examined like yellow pages memorization.
I definitely do not wish to torture my students this way. I think I am rather strict, but nice and I try my best so that my students enjoy my lessons in a pleasant atmosphere and mainly, you will be talking, talking and once again talking in English with me. Making mistakes does not matter at all, you can improve only by talking and soon you will be correcting yourself without my help. Many people admit that they know a lot of words, but cannot recall them during a conversation. My duty is to dust off, exercise, tune up and connect these somehow slightly forgotten words and phrases, so that you can understand and speak English anywhere and anytime.
