It is true that German language does not belong to the group of easy languages. And the ones that study it, it brings considerable difficulty. The American writer, Mark Twain, once described his desperate effort to manage the German language in his humorous article: Die schreckliche deutsche Sprache (The horrible German language). Here he writes: „ein begabter Mann kann Englisch in dreißig Stunden, Französisch in dreißig Tagen und Deutsch in dreißig Jahren lernen (a skilled man can learn English in 30 hours, French in 30 days and German in 30 years)“. But chin up, Twain´s exaggeration muted that German is the beautiful language of Goethe and Schiller, the language that is very organized, ordered, logical, the language that is full of firm rules (apart from exceptions and exclusions from exceptions).
Do you feel like studying and having the faculty in translating such words as Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz (the Act of Responsibility delegation at beef meat labelling control)?
I personally have been helping my students with cracking such tough propositions for 15 year already.
